Ah, New York Bridal Fashion Week. For the uninitiated, think New York Fashion Week, but with more shades of ivory, layers upon layers of tulle, and a bride’s best friend: diamonds. From the engagement ring to the wedding band to the anniversary stack, a bride’s journey is practically paved in pavé. And judging by the jewels we spotted this season, the diamonds were every bit as much the main event as the dresses.

Between runway shows, designer appointments, and a particularly dazzling dinner with Blue Nile, the Over The Moon team took Manhattan. Here, we’re sharing our notes on what’s next in bridal, the jewelry trends we’re calling now, and, naturally, what we wore along the way.

Calling It Now: The Bridal Trends You’ll See Everywhere in 2027
Wedding dresses have been getting more ethereal, expressive, and whimsical for several seasons now, but if this Bridal Fashion Week was any indication, 2027 brides are leaning even further into romance—with a capital R. Our senior buyer, Alivia Thouborron, spotted exposed boning, high necklines, and the prettiest shades of blush on the runways.
As for the diamonds? Everything old is new again. Vintage cuts and heirloom-inspired settings were everywhere, with natural diamonds that have a history—or at least look as though they do—taking center stage. From Old Mine cuts glittering on the hands of brides at appointments and events to Blue Nile’s latest collaboration with the historic diamond house Royal Asscher, the appeal of a jewel with a story to tell was impossible to ignore.
Few names carry as much weight in the diamond world. The Asscher family has been cutting diamonds in Amsterdam since the mid-1800s. In 1902, Joseph Asscher patented the cut that still bears the family name, and a few years later he was entrusted with cleaving the Cullinan, the largest rough diamond ever found, whose stones now sit in the British Crown Jewels. Today, that Asscher cut, with its distinctive stepped facets and Art Deco appeal, is having a moment. But more on that later.

Another standout? Elongated silhouettes and unexpected shapes. The next generation of brides isn’t simply checking jewelry off a wedding to-do list. They’re looking for pieces with personality, a point of view, and a little something to talk about. OTM Style Director Grace Givens was particularly taken with Blue Nile’s Ellipse Collection, which sets natural diamonds in sleek, elongated silhouettes that feel both modern and timeless.
Get The OTM Team’s Look
The Over The Moon team divided and conquered Bridal Fashion Week in style. Three OTM brides—Style Director Grace Givens, Senior Buyer Alivia Thouborron, and Head of Influencer Partnerships’ Kennedy Smith—joined Head of Brand Partnerships Savannah Rockwin for a whirlwind of shows, presentations, and appointments.

Their wardrobe strategy featured polished fall looks from Cara Cara and Tanya Taylor that could take them from front-row seats to the city streets without missing a beat.
Grace, meanwhile, made the case for a little extra sparkle. Leaning into the week’s elongated jewelry trend, she accessorized with Blue Nile’s Ellipse Drop Earrings and Ellipse Huggie Earrings, Ellipse Necklace, and Ellipse Bracelet. She also wore the Mini Half Tennis Necklace and Mini Half Tennis Bracelet, proving that some classics never go out of style.
A Night Out With Blue Nile

Over The Moon founder Alexandra Macon flew in from Charleston and checked into her Manhattan home away from home, Fouquet’s New York, where her Glamsquad team did what she jokingly calls “the Lord’s work.” The finishing touch? Blue Nile diamonds, of course.

From there, she headed uptown to meet Grace for an intimate dinner hosted by Blue Nile and the Asscher family at Mario Carbone’s ZZ’s Club. The setting perfectly appointment by interior designer Ken Fulk and a layered, jewel box of a space—a fitting backdrop for an evening dedicated to extraordinary diamonds. (And yes, there was spicy rigatoni.)
The occasion marked an exciting new chapter for Blue Nile: its partnership with Royal Asscher, the storied diamond house with more than 170 years and six generations of expertise. As Royal Asscher’s exclusive licensed retailer in North America, Blue Nile is introducing two new offerings, SIX by Royal Asscher™ and Curated by the Asscher Family.
At the heart of the collaboration is the philosophy of “Cut for Beauty,” an approach that looks beyond the traditional four Cs to consider a diamond’s overall beauty. After all, some things simply can’t be captured on a grading report.

Finding Your Forever Diamond
Beyond the beautiful jewelry, Alexandra and Grace came away with a renewed appreciation for the experience of choosing a natural diamond—and the importance of having an expert in your corner.
For brides beginning their search, Blue Nile now offers access to The Clear Cut’s concierge expertise, pairing the ease of online shopping with personalized guidance from GIA Graduate Gemologists. It’s a more personal approach to finding a diamond you’ll wear for a lifetime.
“I love seeing a brand like Blue Nile, which has long been known for its digital innovation, create such an elevated and personal shopping experience,” Alexandra says.
Because finding your forever diamond should feel every bit as special as wearing it.
