JJ and I wanted our wedding invitations to be really unique and special. My Aunt Nan hand-drew all of the illustrations on the invitation suite. These are the doors going into St. Luke's Chapel, where we got married.

JJ and I wanted to provide favors our guests could keep forever. As a way for all our guests to see the city we love, following our ceremony, part of our favors included a vintage bus tour through Charleston.

I loved getting ready with my bridesmaids at the Thomas Bennett House! I wanted to make sure everyone had enough room and could truly relax. Part of their gifts were these beautiful robes I picked up from Madison Mathews, a local Charleston shop.

Dannon, my makeup artist, truly gave me the exact look I wanted for our wedding. I really wanted to look like myself and not follow any of the latest trends. Dannon was so patient when I changed the look a few times, and it turned out perfectly on the big day!

I absolutely loved my wedding shoes and could wear them everyday! They are so classic and comfortable; I stayed in my shoes all night! My "something borrowed" was this beautiful clutch from my matron of honor.

I wore a Legends by Romona Keveza gown. Her collections are inspired by Jackie O and Grace Kelly which fit the classic style I envisioned. I added custom lace to the neckline and additional boning. It was so comfortable, I didn't want to take it off!

I have never looked for something more than I did for my wedding earrings. I drove my mother crazy, but I think we landed on the best ones.

Well, it had to happen, the ugly cry. I'm really close with my dad, and seeing him for the first time and watching him get teary eyed just made me lose it. Being the best dad, he reminded me that I couldn't cry too much because I wouldn't want to ruin my makeup. This is one of my favorite photos.

I chose a cathedral-length veil, handmade in Italy. We customized it by adding a blusher and adding lace trim up the sides—it was exactly what I pictured.

I truly don't know what I would do without my mom. She has always been my guiding light and biggest inspiration. I love her beyond words and even more after wedding planning!

I may be biased, but I had the most beautiful bridesmaids. One of the most important things to me was making sure each bridesmaid loved their dress and how they looked. It is definitely not all about the bride, and I wanted to make sure they felt as good as I did.

Details can make the man. JJ wanted to add a special touch by including his late grandfather's cufflinks and a Brackish pin that paired with ones worn by his dad and my dad.

JJ and Matt, his older brother, are incredibly close. JJ would have no other person as his best man helping him through the day. My brother Kyle (2nd form the left) and JJ have also become incredibly close since we started dating, so he happily stood up on JJ's side during the day!

You can feel the emotion in this photo, which is why I love it. My dad was so calm the whole time, but I think in this moment, it really hit him. I was so happy to have him by my side—he took my nerves away, and then I was just excited!

We buried a bottle of local Revival Bourbon a few months before we got married for good weather. To us, it was the perfect weather—a bit chilly, but the sky was clear. Once the dance floor got going, it was perfect.
