Content creators Emily Alexander and Adi Fishman didn’t meet through social media, or even through the creator community; in fact, their relationship predates all that. “We met in middle school through a mutual friend,” Emily shares. “We started dating the summer before senior year of high school.” A month before their seven-year anniversary, Adi got down on one knee on a Newport Beach cliffside overlooking the ocean.
The couple had a vision in mind right away, and the perfect venue to bring it to life. “Sherwood Country Club was special because my mom had her bridal shower there over 30 years ago,” Emily says. “We knew we wanted a very classic style, and we always dreamed of a lot of white florals and a timeless atmosphere for our wedding.” They enlisted Alison Rose Events to bring the event to life, and booked photographer Kayla Sprint to capture it. As creators themselves, of course they also wanted a wedding content creator to get all the behind-the-scenes moments: Follow The Bride was on-site for the wedding.
Emily had long envisioned her bridal moment. “I always knew I wanted that classic princess moment walking down the aisle,” she says. “I visited quite a few bridal shops and quickly learned what I did and didn’t like. When I discovered Sarah Seven, I loved every single dress I tried. The gown I ultimately chose surprised me: It wasn’t what I initially imagined, but it was the perfect balance of uniqueness and the princess feel I had always dreamed of.” She opted for an intricate lace veil to accompany the dress and kept jewelry simple. Anthology Bridal gave her a sleek half-up look, and Shadi Malek provided glam.
“For the reception, I wanted something I could really move in, so I changed into a fitted Vivienne Westwood dress that was perfect for dancing the night away,” Emily says. “My husband also had two looks: He wore a classic black Suitsupply suit and tie for the ceremony, then switched into a white dinner jacket with a bow tie for the reception.” Her bridesmaids wore full-length black dresses for a sophisticated and classic black-tie vibe.
On September 7, 2025, strings played Elvis Presley’s “Unchained Melody” as Emily made her way down the petal-strewn aisle. “Our ceremony took place under a large covered terrace, with the aisle lined in lush floral arrangements—filled with hydrangeas, my favorite—and scattered with petals,” she says. The couple decided against a first look, so the moment was especially emotional. “I was so nervous, but the moment I locked eyes with my groom, every bit of that anxiety disappeared. All that was left was pure emotion, and we were able to fully embrace the moment together.” They exchanged their vows beneath a floral arch by Boho Chic Dreams, then recessed out to “Birds of a Feather” on strings. “The whole moment was so beautiful and deeply emotional."
The reception was intimate, with four long king’s tables laid out on the lawn in a square around a custom checkered dance floor by Trejo Dance Floors. String lights glowed, and all-white florals—mostly hydrangeas and roses—abounded on top of the tables and bloomed from the ground in floor arrangements. “Our guests enjoyed a coursed dinner that began with a delicious Caesar salad, followed by their choice of fish or steak,” Emily says. Her parents gave a welcome toast, followed by moving speeches by the best man and maid of honor. “From there, the celebration took off,” Emily says. “We danced the night away with the amazing DJ Tyler Osborne. (The party started with their loosely choreographed first dance to Teddy Swims’ cover of “You’re Still the One.”)
After swaying under the stars, guests moved inside for an after-party with late-night bites and, of course, more dancing. The sweetest twist? Adi took Emily’s last name—and, naturally, there was endless content to remember the day by.
