Giorgia D’Apuzzo and Carlo Maria Martirani welcomed guests to Villa Astor in Sorrento for a wedding weekend shaped by design, detail, and a shared appreciation for craftsmanship. The couple—both entrepreneurs—approached the celebration with intention. Giorgia works in finance as an executive director and private asset advisor for Azimut Capital Management, while Carlo is the CEO and Founder of Not for All, a company operating in the Champagne and diamond space.
They partnered with wedding planner Postcard Perfect to shape the weekend at the historic villa. Rosita Lipari photographed the celebration, while Alessandro Pentene filmed each chapter of the day.
On June 26, 2024, the ceremony's events began in the early afternoon. Guests were welcomed with a refreshing drink served by hand by the catering team from Classeventi, all dressed in light-colored suits. Flover Napoli created a flower bar, where attendees could have floral accessories fashioned on the spot—bracelets, hair clips, and boutonnières—while also choosing parasols and filling paper cones with petals to toss after the ceremony.
"I chose three different looks to reflect my personality throughout the various moments of the day—from the dresses to the hairstyle and makeup," Giorgia shares. For the ceremony, which took place in the lemon grove in front of the villa, the bride wore a voluminous lace look by Zuhair Murad, styled with Hollywood waves, a cathedral-length hand-embroidered veil, and pearl-embellished Jimmy Choo pumps. The bride and groom exchanged vows before the large statue near the lakeside—a setting Giorgia describes as "the most intimate and emotional moment for us."
After the vows, guests walked through the gardens beneath a pergola covered in cascading flowers toward the cocktail hour—each bloom revealing the guests' seating assignment.
In the tropical garden overlooking the sea, cocktail hour centered around four distinct stations: Flowers & Bubbles by the lake with sparkling wine poured in coupes; Meat & Vermouth near the pool with cocktail pairings for each dish; Gin & Mare beneath the crypt with sea-inspired combinations; and the Bar à Parfums, which guided each guest through a scent journey, ending with a personalized "Martuzzo"—a mix of the couple's two last names—Parfum. Live music by Alessandro De Angelis carried through the garden—saxophones, violins, and vocals creating a relaxed, elegant rhythm.
As the sun began to set, dinner was served overlooking the port of Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius in the distance. "There we were, on that beautiful terrace, the long imperial tables set, and the sun dipping into the sea," Giorgia says. Guests dined by candlelight as the evening deepened.
For the next chapter of the night, Giorgia removed her overskirt, revealing a mermaid silhouette. She first wore it with a beaded headband and her hair down for the Martuzzo Show—an energetic garden performance designed to get everyone dancing—then with her hair up during the cake-cutting. Carlo wore one of three custom looks created for him by the historic Roman tailor Dal Sarto, paired with a pocket watch, heirloom cufflinks, and Louboutin shoes.
The cake cutting took place in the main courtyard to the Moulin Rouge version of "Firework." The five-tier cake, created by Lilia Ferraro, drew inspiration from iconic 1970s wedding cakes—like those of Frank Sinatra and Barbara Marx or Elvis and Priscilla Presley—with whipped cream, chantilly, and berries arranged on a columned structure.
For the after-party at the "Martuzzo Club," Giorgia changed into her third look—a Magda Butrym mini dress shaped like an oversized flower, paired with crystal pumps by René Caovilla. They toasted with the first bottle of Not for All Champagne—an exclusive edition topped with a diamond—gifted to her by Carlo.
"The entire wedding was a whirlwind of emotions—we cried, we laughed, we danced, we sang at the top of our lungs, and we tried to live each moment to the fullest," Giorgia says. When the night finally wound down and the lights dimmed, they looked at each other and wished they could do it all over again. "And the best part—we had all the most important people in our lives by our side—our families and friends."
After the wedding, the couple began their honeymoon in Sicily, staying at Grand Hotel Timeo and Villa Sant’Andrea by Belmond. Their full honeymoon followed in August—a month in French Polynesia exploring the Society Islands, including Bora Bora, Taha’a, and Tetiaroa. "It was truly a dream come true," Giorgia concludes. "
