The first event of the weekend was a beautiful luncheon hosted by my best friend and neighbor and her mother at our club. Zimmermann is one of my favorite brands to wear every day so it felt right to pick this fun white dress for our first event.

The luncheon was the perfect way to kick off the weekend with my closest girlfriends. I had been in Sea Island for a month prior to the wedding, so it was also a little reunion, since I missed them during that time!

Marcus loves a Ford Bronco, so I surprised him with one to drive us to our rehearsal dinner. It was so much fun and also a special moment to spend one on one before meeting up with our bridal party.

On our way up to cocktails, we stopped among the oaks to take a few photos. We both adore the landscape down here, and our invitations actually featured an oak tree dripping in Spanish moss.

I am obsessed with these D’Ascoli linens she found for us from The Ark Elements. Sea Island had the perfect Bernardaud charger and The Vine did a stunning job on the floral.

On Friday night, we hosted a Brazilian welcome party by the beach. Here we are taking a moment to take it all in while our guests enjoy cocktails.

Arriving at the party with my best friends. The dress code was “colorful cocktail,” and I think they all killed it!

We attached a Senhor do Bonfim bracelet to each seating card. When you tie this bracelet onto your wrist, you have to make three wishes, one for each knot. When the bracelet falls off they will come true. My mother-in-law tied many of our guests bracelets, and it was special for her to get to share this tradition with our friends.

Of course, we had to serve Caipirinhas.

We loved the casual and fun vibe of this night. Bamboo chairs and fruit on the tables created a natural but colorful tablescape.

Our place cards were tambourines that turned into fun props on the dance floor. Everyone took one home as a fun reminder of a night filled with music and dancing.

We worked with Elan Artists for music and entertainment. Caro serenaded our guests with traditional Brazilian music throughout dinner, which was incredibly special and emotional for our Brazilian family. Then, we surprised our guests with carnival samba dancers to get the dancing started after dinner.

Our first dance to “Everything I Do (I Do it For You)” by Bryan Adams. We both love Bryan Adams—it was the first concert we went to together when we were juniors in college—so it was fun to dance to this song.

On birthdays, we always scream when we get to the bottom! So of course we had to do the same here.

I loved my after-party dress by Ines Di Santo—I felt so carefree and could dance all night. Kelli with team Claire Balest swooped my hair into a fun top knot, so that the bow on the back of my dress could shine.

We welcomed our guests into the after-party with espresso martinis. Augusta and her team turned a pizzeria into a nightclub, and the dance floor was packed until the morning.
