When we checked into the Nomad Hotel downtown, these Levis matching jackets were waiting for us in our room, courtesy of our dear friend, Adam Fakier. They were placed perfectly with a bottle of champagne and glassware, which not only made us feel incredibly special, but started the festivities in a special way. We ROCK these jackets on casual date nights.

We love hospitality and wanted everyone’s experience to be memorable, especially those flying into town. We made simple welcome packs for everyone checking into their hotels that gave small glimpses into our lives.

While getting ready, we had a little birdie tell us that Lisa Foxx on 104.3 FM would be speaking about us live. We tuned in and were blown away by the kindness of the message and excitement she had for the evening ahead. It was really crazy to hear. We had friends flying in, and while in their Ubers, they heard it and thought, “What the heck are we going to, why are they being talked about on the radio?” Honestly, we felt the same thing.

While guests were still arriving, we thought we would take our little girl, Bella, for a walk around the grounds and take it all in as a family. This was a small beautiful park on top of a parking garage in DTLA. #WILD

The backdrop of the wedding was symbolic in many ways to our lives here in Los Angeles. The good, the bad, the struggles and the triumphs—all of it represented with a beautiful skyline.

We were able to walk across to another building’s roof and look over to see all of our guests. They were all there, at OUR WEDDING! Still such an emotional experience. Just a few years prior, this wasn’t legally a possibility, and now, here we were, watching 400 people looking absolutely beautiful at our wedding. Our hearts were full.

Apparently, we were all listening to different things from our photographers since only three of us were looking at the camera. This is such a special photo to us, as it blends our families as one. It will forever hold a special place to us.

I always dreamed of having my nieces, Ryenn, Maysen, and Avery, as flower girls at my wedding. I never thought it would happen. I had a vision of flower crowns and boho, chic dresses. It all worked out perfectly. They were perfect in every way.

This polaroid photo was taken during our rehearsal. If you look closely, a bird was perfectly captured in the background along with the skyline. It was a beautiful surprise to see at our welcoming table.

We never wanted a traditional wedding, nor seating with an aisle. We wanted to create a beautiful and comfortable setting, where people could meet and talk and visit. We took a blank canvas and created a space that we would want to hang out in, and if there happened to be a wedding in the middle of it, great. We wanted to be different and give our guests something that was out of the norm.

As part of our vision (brought to life in absolute perfection by our friends at Creative Light), we wanted each sitting area to not only have enough space for people to meet and talk, but to have the skyline of Los Angeles as the sun was setting as the backdrop.

When guests arrived, we had a charcuterie spread on both sides of the roof by Haute Chefs LA. Apparently, it was good because there wasn't a sliver left in the end. The grooms never made it to this table (unfortunately).

This is an image of the first guests arriving. We had specialty cocktails by Sweet and Chili waiting on trays for our guests.

The cocktail names had special meanings. "Three Simple Words" was J.T.’s song he recorded 10 years ago. "Happy Dance" was something sentimental to us that we used to do across the room to each other, or at the end of a fight to make sure we didn't stay mad. "Lovely Night" was what we called the night we met, and "Bella’s Favorite" was an homage to our baby Bulldog.

This is the moment I really saw the amount of people that were there. We chose not to have a traditional aisle, but instead, walked through the crowd. It was absolutely magical and a feeling we can’t really explain. The amount of love we felt was immeasurable.

That bench represented four generations of family and the fact that Waunderlust captured the moment between J.T.’s parents is incredible. It is so special to us.

One of the most special moments of the evening was Justin’s mom giving Justin his dad’s ring, who had passed away two years prior. The ring, with the incredible sunset in the background, had many special meanings that evening.

We both stood on a table to give thank you speeches and show how grateful we were for people being there. There were two political parties, 14 states, five countries and six religions represented that night, but the only thing anyone could see or feel was love. It was really an incredible feeling.
