In early 2018, Jordan McCarthy moved to San Francisco to start a new job at CBS. She didn't know a lot of people in the area, so she was open when her friend, Story, suggested setting her up on a blind date with her colleague, Andrew Sawch. He texted Jordan the next day to meet at Brass Tacks. One drink turned into four, and Jordan knew she had found the one.

Several years of dating later, the couple made the move from San Francisco to New York City together. On the first Friday in their new apartment while surrounded by cardboard boxes, Andrew got down on one knee and proposed to Jordan before a surprise family dinner at Il Cantinori. At Jordan’s younger brother’s insistence, they ended the night with pickleback shots at Galway Hooker Irish Pub surrounded by friends and family.

With wedding planning underway, Jordan immediately thought of her parents' blue, white, and magenta-filled home in Jupiter, Florida. "My mom has iconic interior design taste, and she has always been my first source of inspiration," she says. She further looked into interior design blogs for more insight, like Kate Rheinstein’s Hamptons sunroom, >which inspired their pink and white-checkered dance floor. Anna Lucia Events understood Jordan’s aesthetic perfectly and turned her vision into a reality. The couple enlisted Hunter Ryan Photography to capture every picturesque moment and beautiful detail.

"Like many brides before me, I wanted to find a balance between timeless and original," Jordan recalls about curating her wedding look. She saw herself in a classic crisp white dress with some type of unique, standout cut. Monique Lhuillier’s 2020 Hydrangea Dress was exactly what she had on her aspirational Pinterest board. She customized it even more by removing the green floral print and covering with a lightweight linen from a different Monique Lhuillier dress. It effortlessly achieved the "tropical black tie" dress code. Face Time Beauty applied her glowing makeup.

Jordan considers herself very lucky to be best friends with jewelers Mia and her father Jim Geswelli. They collaborated with the bride-to-be on her engagement ring, her cigar-cut wedding band, and modernizing Jordan's mother's wedding earrings.

Over The Moon's Amanda Jones Vaughan's wedding was the starting point for Jordan's bridesmaids' aesthetic. She let each friend select their own dress in a blue or raspberry pink—lace, florals, and accessories were highly encouraged. Jordan's best friends did not disappoint. The groom donned a midnight blue Tom Ford tuxedo complete with black trim.

On January 21, 2023 at the Pelican Club, guests gathered near the intracoastal to witness Andrew and Jordan say "I do." The Jupiter lighthouse stood in the near distance as Jordan's cousin, Jack, officiated. He emphasized core tenets for the couple's relationship like their personal motto of "leading with love" and the many special memories they share with family and friends.

Jordan tends to suffer from stage fright, but it was important to the couple to read their own vows. "It was the best decision we made," she confirms. "It truly set the mood for the rest of the night." She made sure to look into the audience and actively notice all of her loved ones' faces in the crowd. Despite the 200-person guest list, the 30-minute ceremony felt truly intimate.

The sit-down dinner of short rib and shrimp followed with the couple's signature drink, ranch water. The wine, Jordan Cabernet, is part of the father of the bride's personal collection. He has been picking up these bottles since Jordan was born, with the intention of one day serving it at her wedding. In fact, he's looked forward to this day for decades. He and Jordan practiced swing dancing for years, in preparation. Their routine to Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" brought everyone to the dance floor after dinner.

The newlyweds shared a first dance to James Taylor's "Your Smiling Face," and The Headliners’s musical stylings kept everyone dancing all night long. The couple cut into their delectable Earth & Sugar cake.

Everyone traveled down the street to a nearby restaurant for the after-party with margaritas, quesadillas, and churros, before the bride and groom embarked on their honeymoon in New Zealand.
