The "architecture" of my dress was one of my favorite parts—it felt so perfect for a city wedding! The lines and the way the skirt draped were designed to be similar to origami and felt very classic Vera Wang!

Without hesitation, I went straight to an old family friend, Patsy Howser, to do my hair—she did my very first hair cut, when I was just two! I had ideas of what I wanted, and she ran with it!

I was torn between having sleeves and doing a strapless dress—very different from each other! But when I saw that the sleeves on the Fantine gown could be detached with snaps, it was everything I wanted in one!

It was a special moment, having my mom there to help me get into my gown after numerous try-ons and fittings. It made it all feel so real and exciting!

We had Beau's suit and shirt custom made during a trip to Hong Kong. It was such a fun experience to work together to design it and have him feel as special as I did when picking my dress and having it made for me!

The boys got ready in our apartment which was down the street from the hotel I was getting ready at, so we could easily do photos in our neighborhood, where we have established ourselves for the past five years! It was important to us that our wedding was a reflection of our life we have created in San Francisco.

I never wear my hair up, but I wanted to for the ceremony and because I think the shoulders are one of the most beautiful and womanly parts of a woman and I wanted to feel my very best!

The train on the dress was so dramatic, just as I had envisioned I would wear on my wedding day. I wanted all the things: a train, veil, and skirt!

Sipping champagne and eating my favorite snacks that my sister ran to the farmers market for that morning and sitting in the hotel room with my sisters and moms was the calm before the beautiful storm. It really helped me to settle into the present.

Our first look was in our favorite little alley in our neighborhood. Everyone was going about their normal Saturday, as we had this big moment in the middle of it all.

Beau had absolutely no idea what my dress was going to be, and I think he was pleasantly surprised by how dramatic I went. I tend to keep things minimal and simple. I gifted Beau his cufflinks that morning, they're "made using serial numbers from illegal guns and shell casings from America's Streets, and a percent of the profits fund gun buyback programs."

My siblings were amazing through the entire process. They made sure everything happened exactly as it needed to—sometimes they know me better than I do!

I remember being so eager here to get to the venue and get things going, but I am happy we got these shots of us!

The black flowers in my bouquet smelt like chocolate; they were divine! I put full trust into our florist, Tory Choate, to make me a bouquet that was edgy but classy, with one request of cappuccino-colored roses, and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined!

Photo on the streets of San Francisco—there was a lot of stress to keep my dress clean during these photos, since we did them before the ceremony.

Our parents really stepped back and let us write our story. While respecting some traditions, we never felt any pressure from them to do things a certain way—we had full control! I love our moms' great styles—they had a lot of fun together selecting pieces!

I had my three siblings as my "wedding party," and I couldn't have asked for better support!

Beau had his three siblings as his wedding party—we're very close with our families!

The alley our apartment is on—we get to walk our wedding photo sites everyday!

The look in Beau's eyes here capture his excitement and love! I can't help but smile everytime I see it!

One of my favorite pics of my veil!

I was beyond nervous to walk down the aisle. I was squeezing my mom's hand the whole way! I am happy I had her by my side and my dad's presence within me.

We walked down the aisle to Beau's brother playing "No Place To Fall" acoustically.

We couldn't have asked for better weather or a better view. It was a quintessential San Francisco fall day.

As we all arrived, my cousin, who led the ceremony, had everyone close their eyes and take a deep breath to be present. This was a beautiful moment to settle in and reflect on everything that got us there that day.

We each wrote our own vows. It was special to hear each other's reflections on the past 14 years together and our promises to each other. My cousin was our officiant, and he has known both us our entire lives, so he did a beautiful job of putting 29 years together in 30 mins. There were tears, laughter, and joy!

Having already spent half our lives together, we are now husband and wife!

Lavender was tossed as we walked back down the aisle—I don't advise it, it gets everywhere!

What an amazing feeling to have pulled this all off and be married!

Beau's grandma had just turned 90 that summer, so it was so special to have her make the trip up to San Francisco to celebrate with us!

Our families are huge and so important to us!

These are all our siblings, their partners, and kids!

My brother was the matron of honor—he was my sounding board for all things! He flew to SF numerous times to go dress shopping, attend dress fittings, and do venue site visits, I am forever grateful for his contribution and dedication while also planning his own wedding two months before mine!

My mom was such a trooper through the whole process. I know this was an emotional time for her and having to hold space for my dad too.

I really had my heart set on a beige dress from Vera Wang from a sneak peek collection, but they decided not to produce it. I couldn't let go over wanting something beige, so when I saw this beige veil, it had to be my "something beige!"

Every view from our venue was breathtaking!

This is where my minimal and simple aesthetic came in. The entire venue was concrete, so I wanted all-white tables and little decor, letting the city backdrop and florals do the work. I wanted the florals to be architectural, so we hired a true artist, Tory Choate.

The wedding planning process started with our menu, inspired by our favorite restaurant in Mexico City, Contramar, with grilled whole octopus and fish tacos by Chef Jordan Moore! I worked with PAPER / PAPER to design our paper goods. Erin was everything I was looking for, and, even though she is based in Australia, everything worked out so perfectly! A fun little touch on the tables was the oyster shells filled with my aunt's homemade hot chili salt!

Our intention for the wedding was a big, "casual chic" dinner party with all our friends and family.

Taking a moment to appreciate how many people and how San Francisco showed up to celebrate us!

I will forever value these quiet 15 minutes Beau and I had together before joining our guests! This shot captures my wedding rings so beautifully. I still can't get over how perfect they are. My friend Jess Hannah from Ceremony made the whole experience special!

Funny fact: I got inspired to do these globe lights from an episode of Euphoria. I was constantly looking for inspiration everywhere during the planning process. All our wine was natural from local winery Deux Punx that Beau knew from serving it at Hook FIsh Co. We bought up the last of their dry riesling months before our wedding because I was determined to have it served, since it goes well with fish!

My mom's speech was so meaningful and hilarious. I guess I kept telling her things were either "the vibe" or not, and now it's an on-going joke with everyone about things being the right "vibe."

We had only considered one other venue when we started planning, but we had known the SF Art Institute was where we wanted to get married for years—couldn't have asked for a more "us" venue that captured our life in SF.

We planned our wedding around the full moon, since that's how we had experienced the SF Art Institute for the first time years before and that's when we set our hearts on the venue.

I am not a cake person, so we went with a pavlova made by our dear and talented friend, Mary Dunham, who took it to the next level with seasonal fruits and a lemon butter cream! For the guests, she prepared individual ones—people still rave about them!

My brother choreographed our first dance. We got a bit of stage fright and only remembered parts of it. When all else fails, dip and kiss.

Beau's brother, Chase, joined the wedding band to perform "Harvest Moon" during our first dance. They had never performed together before, and it turned out so beautiful; there is nothing like live music!

My mom brought her champagne glasses from her wedding for us to use during our cake cutting and toast!

I think my nephew thought I was a real life Disney princess. He would not leave my side the whole time and had the biggest smile every time we danced; it was so precious!
