"The moment we met, I knew he was the man I was going to marry one day," Lovisa Barkman says of Henric Stenholm, who lived in her neighborhood in Stockholm. And after four years together, he surprised Lovisa with a proposal at Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel—they later decided to return to the very spot to kick off their destination wedding.

Looking over the bay of Monaco and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Villa La Vigie of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer captivated Lovisa from the beginning. To help bring her wedding vision to life, Over The Moon Editor's Pick Planner White Eden Weddings took over the planning and design reins, while Laurent Rostaing Films and Over The Moon The List Photographer Greg Finck lensed every moment.

Greg's wife, bridal designer Rime Arodaky, stepped in to help with Lovisa's ceremony dress. Together, they created a classic silhouette with lace and floral details to complement the garden setting. "I wanted this dress to be minimalistic in one way, but yet dramatic with a big train and long veil," the bride shares. "I also tried to make it make sense in other parts of the wedding. For our Ruinart champagne tower we made a tablecloth in similar draping as on my dress. It was such a fun journey to make it custom-made."

On the day-of, makeup artist Pamela Granholm and hairstylist Amandine Baron gave Lovsia the perfect bridal glam, and Gold Leaf Brides helped get everyone dressed throughout the day.

For dinner, Lovisa changed into a Netta Ben Shabu long-sleeved lace dress. "Since I had it

for the cake cutting, we had a lace tablecloth under to extend the moment of lace," she explains. Her friend, Zara of SOYEUX, created Lovisa's silk party dress with an open back.

The next day, Lovisa put on a custom Malina dress. "We designed it together, and I really loved wearing it!" she exclaims. And another Rime Arodaky dress outfitted her for the pool party.

On June 28, 2025, Lovisa and Henric exchanged vows in an organic-feeling garden featuring only white florals by Miss Rose by Perrine. Strings added to the ambiance. "It felt like a fairytale!" she exclaims.

Once married, the newlyweds sat for a formal dinner. And the dancing began around tables with ÉLAN ARTISTS before the couple cut their cake, as fireworks shot off into the night sky. Once on the dance floor—dubbed "Club Stenholm"—Lovisa and Henric shared a first dance to "I Am Yours" by Andy Grammer and ended the night with DJ Thomas Dusseune.

And after the Sunday brunch and pool party, the pair headed to One&Only Kéa Island in the Cyclades for a romantic and relaxing mini-moon.
