Designing our wedding print was so much more creative and fun than Connor and I ever thought it would be. We are both creative people, but are not necessarily artists when it comes to drawing or painting; this is where the beyond-talented Cheree Berry Paper came in. We knew our Save the Dates and Invitations would set the tone for the entire Wedding; we wanted them to be unique, beautiful, represent the landscape of the farm, and really feel like us. CBP helped us create exactly what we wanted and more; no detail was spared, including a real ginkgo leaf, hidden inside the invite. Our guests were blown away by both the Save the Date and Invitation. We heard from many that they had never received anything more beautiful and that everything felt just like Connor and me. That is exactly what we wanted; we were so happy.

I couldn’t be any more in love with this set by J. Andreatta. Julie (The Stylish Bride) accented the outfit with gold accessories, while my hair and makeup team, Claire Balest, helped me achieve a chic, “old-Hollywood” look that I felt the dress silhouette begged for. I felt fabulous.

Connor and I took the boat out before guests started to trickle in for the Rehearsal Dinner. This was such a special moment as it marked the very beginning of the wedding weekend. *Clink* “Let’s do this.”

I had always envisioned portraits with Connor out on the water, and wow am I glad we made it happen! Look at Jose and Chris’s balancing act on the other boat, following us. Connor and I were quite impressed that no one fell overboard. The whole shoot was so fun.

Okay handsome!! Connor looked styling in his brown suede jacket and the perfect tie to match.

I mean… these trees! When weighing our wedding weekend options, the Fall foliage was a very important part of the decision. I love our farm in all seasons, but the Fall is my absolute favorite. The Tennessee trees were at their peak this weekend and it made me so happy. Come on down to the dock for cocktail hour, take a seat, and enjoy the view!

Hosting our rehearsal dinner in my family’s boathouse on our farm was so special. The architecture of the boathouse is beautiful on it’s own, and we didn’t want to compete with the existing space, but rather, lean into the surroundings. We decided to focus on the tablescapes ~ creating a beautiful indoor golden hour featuring my favorite color, yellow.

This was an unforgettable moment. We surprised our guests arriving via boat as they were enjoying cocktail hour. The weekend before our wedding, Connor had a boat driving lesson with my dad to make sure everything went smoothly in the big moment; thankfully, it was a successful drive and we stuck the landing! Also… look at that beautiful boathouse!

Our rehearsal dinner was focused around 70 of our nearest and dearest. When guests took their seats, I wanted them to feel like they were being embraced. Easton created a tablescape that did just that - it was warm and welcoming, and felt like we handpicked everything from my mom’s party pantry. I loved the mixing of the more “precious” porcelain plates against the masculinity of wooden chargers and cutlery.

After a successful boat docking, we snuck in some quick touch-ups in the boat slip a la Claire Balest and team before re-emerging to the party!

All of the girls to my right have been by my side since we were in kindergarten. We know how lucky we are to have each other and have stuck together no matter what. We fly across the country and sometimes even world to celebrate life’s big moments together. I met the girls to my left in college and they are truly some of the best people. I feel beyond lucky to have such incredible women in my life.

I cannot express how thankful I am to have these three girls as my new sisters. They love their big brother more than anything in world and have raised him to be the kindest man. All three of them have the biggest hearts and are so beautiful, inside and out. They have welcomed me into their family with open arms and I am happy to say that we have felt like sisters for years.

I love this picture for so many reasons. First, Connor’s outfit looks incredible, especially with the hay bales in the background. Our Nashville-based stylist, Caitlin Costello of Style Affiner, styled all of Connor’s outfits for the wedding weekend and absolutely crushed it. Second, I have so many special childhood memories that include jumping and playing on these hay bales at our farm with my cousins. The first time I brought Connor to the farm about 6 years ago, I made him get on top of the hay bales with me and jump across them; he loved it. These photos bring me so much joy and take me back to a childhood spent on the farm.

This outfit was so much fun. Our Friday night welcome party was outside, by the river, under the full moon (hence the party’s name, Full Moon Rendezvous). For this look, I wanted to feel flowy and whimsical and be in cowgirl boots. Julie and D. (The Stylish Bride) helped me find the perfect dress for the occasion, designed by Danielle Frankel, which fit the vibe magically. We hemmed the dress to fit tea-length, revealing some fun floral embroidered cowgirl boots. As the night chilled, I paired my dress with a cashmere shawl by Loro Piana, actually called the “Moon Shawl,” perfect for a Full Moon Rendezvous.

Ah, the decor on this night is something I will dream about forever. Everyone I spoke with about this night said something along the lines of, “This feels like the inside of Cate Elcan’s brain”. I will never get tired of hearing this, as it is exactly what I wanted. You could say Mindy Rice “understood the assignment” AND completed extra credit; she absolutely nailed my vision. My style is very much boho, colorful, and whimsical. I told Mindy I wanted hanging everything - lights, flowers, candles, ribbons, vases - you name it! She delivered a home-run!

This party hit every note I was looking for - it was whimsical, cozy, and elegant all at once.
17 of 82
Connor’s all-time favorite drink of choice is tequila, so it only felt right for us to have a dedicated tequila station. Spicy Margarita, anyone?
18 of 82
It’s all in the details! If you look closely at our “C and C” logo, you will notice that CBP managed to pack so much significance into such a small space. The logo includes the bridge at the entrance of the farm, a full moon, and features the name of the farm, “Misty River Farm.”

How cozy does this look? I loved this party - it was packed with punch and there were little moments of delights and surprises everywhere! Grab a drink from the tequila bar, get a sushi roll from the sushi tent, take a swing on a hammock by the river, or cozy up around a fire pit to roast a smore: my ideal night. The weather was cloudy and moody as guests arrived, but the sky later cleared to reveal the full moon.

My women! My mom and two sisters are the best of the best. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have grown up surrounded by strong women. There is nothing like having sisters and we have been raised by the most amazing mamma in the world.
21 of 82
The perfect end to our “Full Moon Rendezvous”. If you translate “Full Moon Rendezvous” it literally means to meet at the Full Moon, and that is exactly what we did. How we got so lucky with the weather this night, I will never know but I am so thankful. When choosing our wedding weekend date, the full moon was a huge part of this decision; thank goodness it showed off for us.

I get teary looking at this photo. For my wedding dress, I had a vision of white floral embellishments, a sweetheart neckline, a fitted waist with a full skirt, and some type of romantic, sheer sleeve. After hearing my vision, Julie (The Stylish Bride) narrowed in on her little black book and recommended we look at Lee Petra Grebenau’s designs at Spina Bride in New York. When I stepped into the store, I was immediately comforted by the elegant, romantic, bohemian feel of the dresses. We pretty quickly found “the one,” the Emilia, and all we needed to do was add the perfect sleeves to create my dream dress.

My girl team. Look at these beautiful women! This was such a sweet, special moment - getting ready for the big day, just my mom, sisters, and me.
24 of 82
It was important to me that I felt like myself in my wedding dress. This amazing dress had a built-in bodysuit that I stepped right in to, then it clasped together in the back to create a snug fit. The Stylish Bride team are absolute magicians with buttons, claps, and snaps; thank goodness for them. With my wedding dress, I wore my mom’s special sapphire diamond ring (my something blue) and my grandmother’s diamond pearl earrings that my older sister also wore on her wedding day (my something old).

My mamma, my best friend, my partner in crime (especially when wedding planning). She is the definition of beauty, grace, and elegance. My entire life I have been told I was her mini-me, and I will forever take that as the ultimate compliment. None of this weekend would have been even close to possible without this woman!

My bridal party and I were lucky enough to get ready on Saturday morning at my aunt and uncle’s farm house. Their property beautifully mixes traditional country style with modern art and architecture. The trees on their property are to die for… You may not be able to tell but I had ladybugs crawling all over me in this picture which, of course, is good luck, so I really didn’t mind!
27 of 82
Coincidentally, my aunt and uncle have a beautiful row of vibrant, yellow ginkgo trees (my favorite) right outside their farm house! This made for a picture-perfect father-daughter first look location. Chuck didn’t quite understand the concept of a “first look” but he was definitely trying to hold back tears here.

The “Girls Team,” as my dad calls our family. My rocks, my role models, my best friends.. I know my dad is happy to slowly add some guys into this mix!
29 of 82
Look at my beautiful girls! I love this photo because it captures all of my favorite women through all different walks of life. Featured here are my two sisters, Connor’s three sisters, girls I’ve known since we were babies, and lifelong friends I found in college. I’m the luckiest.

Follow me my fall beauties!
31 of 82
I will never get over these bridesmaid dresses! We worked very closely with Francesca Miranda to custom design these dresses to match the Fall foliage pantones that I love so much. Besides my two sisters, no two dresses were the exact same, but they all looked beautiful together, especially given the scenery. I loved the decision from Mindy Rice to add the velvet ribbons to the bridesmaid bouquets - such a fun, Fall touch.
32 of 82
My handsome husband! Caitlin Costello got it right with this custom J. Hilburn tux. I think he may have been a little nervous here ;)
33 of 82
We opted to do a first look and I am so glad we did. After spending the morning apart with our wedding parties, it was so nice to have this time together to calm each other’s nerves and just take it all in before the craziness started.
34 of 82
Jose Villa is magic! We could take photos and hang out with him every single weekend. His presence is calming and he is just so much fun to be around. He gets the best shots that look exactly like they did in real life.
35 of 82
We went on some wild adventures for this shoot and had so much fun doing it. Thank god for The Stylish Bride helping me pull out leaves from my dress after this… we were laughing so hard at what my dress gathered along the way.
36 of 82
The Fairs! They have felt like family for years now, but it is finally official! I am a lucky girl!
37 of 82
It was a surreal moment to see my train for the first time. When I looked closely, I noticed that most of the flowers represented the sunflower (my absolute favorite flower). I hadn’t realized this when I first chose the dress, so in this moment, it felt meant to be.
38 of 82
Cocktail, anyone? This bar begged to be bellied up to. The HMR team came up with a “floating pergola” concept which was surreal to see in real life so many months later. I loved how the playful, mix-matched patterns anchored the space with vibrant solids fanned around the perimeter of the cocktail tent.

This escort wall! Find the gingko with your name on it, see your table number, and the card is yours to keep!

Cheree Berry Paper and team worked subtle music notes all throughout our print, a nod to our love for and connection to music.

My dream “to get married on top of the hill at our farm” actually came true!

So many emotions here…

Making forever promises to each other in front of all of our favorite people from all different walks of life.
45 of 82
We asked a longtime mentor of mine, Dr. Darwin Mason, Jr., to officiate our wedding. He crushed it! It was so nice to have him up there with us. He cracked a few jokes to ease the nerves, and delivered a sincere, heartfelt ceremony. He is the best.
46 of 82
Connor and I chose to exchange personal vows. We wanted our ceremony to feel authentic to us and for our guests to feel our love for one another. I got a little choked up about halfway through reading my vows, but pulled it together and finished strong. Even still, I am so glad we did this; it felt so special.

“Connor, you may kiss your bride!”
48 of 82
Officially husband and wife! So much joy.
49 of 82
The flower petal toss was such a fun touch! Of course, we did have many to pull out of our hair and clothes, afterwards.
50 of 82
My sweet Gandaddy. He was seated high above the platform, where the ceremony guests sat, so he could see it all. He had the best seat in the house. Connor and I walked straight to him after we recessed down the aisle. This was such a special moment. He reminded me that my grandmother, who passed away a few years ago, was there with us and how proud of me he was. He is the most amazing person I know and is my role model. A true legend.
51 of 82
Our perfect little flower girls did so well; we are very proud of them! I was obsessed with the flower crowns Mindy created, and secretly wanted one for myself!
52 of 82
Mindy created this beautiful ceremony structure for us. We wanted something that complimented the fall backdrop, without taking away from the scenery. I love the mix of bright flowers and Fall leaves here.
53 of 82
Have you ever seen a more beautiful tent? The second Lynn showed me an image of a greenhouse-inspired tent, I knew immediately this was the style of tent that I wanted. I love the way the great outdoors bleeds into the inside. The greenhouse structure was commissioned by Skyline Tents, and HMR Designs constructed the amazing 20ft, yellow ginkgo trees that filled the entire tent.
54 of 82
Et voila! The ginkgo trees. These meticulously handcrafted beauties lined the centermost tent poles, captivating your line of sight as you walked in through the glass doors.

We have a few “house rules” in our family when it comes to tabelscapes.. One of which is keeping your floral arrangements low to encourage conversation and comradery. If you don’t know your neighbor at the time you take your seat, you should by the time dinner wraps and it’s time to hit the dance floor!
56 of 82
There is an art to making a large party feel intimate. We leaned on Easton to come up with a floor plan that was interesting, inviting, and inclusive. We had four different table shapes at play in the tent, but all with consistent tablescapes to keep the space feeling cohesive.
57 of 82
One of my favorite details in the tent was the subtle mis-matching of dining chairs. While they were the same style, they alternated in color based on table shape.
58 of 82
How cozy are these velvet banquettes? We were so lucky with the weather that we didn’t have to put up our tent walls - it almost looked like these tables were nestled up against the treeline.
59 of 82
I love all of the thoughtful details that this image captures. At first glance, you appreciate the beautiful table setting.. The angled B&B knives, the gingko napkin ring, the spacing of the cutlery.. But, if you’re paying close attention, you’ll note all of the layers in the background that made this tent so delicious. For example, the fabric on the dinner chairs mirrors the fabric on the perimeter banquets. Everything felt so connected.
60 of 82
The band backdrop was obviously such a key design element in the tent, but I loved how it was grand in scale but quiet in design. It hit all of the right notes ;)

My dream cake was brought to life by Dessert Designs, a local Nashville bakery that my family has been using for decades. I came into my cake tasting with a very specific vision of what I wanted my cake to look like, not knowing if it was possible to have something this intricate made. Dessert Designs exceeded all of my expectations. It was perfect!

Lynn Easton!!! Our tent reveal with Lynn was one of my very favorite moments of the entire weekend. We had been dreaming up and planning for this beautiful tent for a year and the wait was beyond worth it. We couldn’t love Lynn more. She is truly the most talented and the best in the biz, but also the kindest and most down-to-earth woman. Lynn has become family and we are forever grateful to know her.
63 of 82
The dynamic duo, partners in crime, and best friends. After working with Team Easton for my sister’s wedding in 2022 and mine just a year later, my family has grown to love Lynn and see her as part of the family. These two women do it all and somehow make it look easy!
64 of 82
Soaking in every second of my ginkgo-filled dream fairytale!!! Before any of our guests entered the tent, we had a few minutes to ourselves to take in all of the details we had worked on with the team for so long. The ginkgo-painted dance floor, the ginkgo backdrop, the ginkgo chandeliers, the string quartet, the greenhouse tent, I was in heaven and just needed a princess moment of swirling on the dance floor to take it all in. You can see it on my face, happiest girl alive.

I had full body chills when the band leader announced “Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time ever, I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Fair!”
66 of 82
Get it ladies! My DC girls were there with us to celebrate our engagement in Washington, DC a year ago, and came to Nashville to continue the celebration for our marriage! Having good people in your corner is the best thing ever.
67 of 82
I absolutely love this trend of having a live painter at your wedding. Gabbi Cook with Cloud Studio was our amazing artist, and I mean LOOK at the result! How impressive and special to have a one-of-a-kind painting from your ceremony, created just for you. Our guests also loved watching her paint after the ceremony at the reception. She is beyond talented!
68 of 82
And this is when we really started grooving..
69 of 82
Sneaking in little kisses throughout the night. Cheers Mr. Fair!

We were in love with our cakes. Can you guess which one is mine!? My parents started the tradition at their wedding to use a caramel cake as the groom’s cake baked from the one and only Nashville Dessert Designs. Since then, every single wedding in my family has carried on the tradition of having the same caramel cake from the same local bakery that my parents did in ‘91. If you haven’t tried their caramel cake, you are missing out.
71 of 82
hese boys! I have known most of these guys as long as I’ve known Connor; they have loved and supported us both as individuals and a couple, since day one. They surprised me at the reception by singing the Sigma Chi Sweetheart song, a tradition at any wedding of a Sigma Chi. It was so off-key and so cute. I love them all.
72 of 82
Don’t be fooled - these magnum bottles are heavier than they look! But so worth it for the moment and pictures.
73 of 82
“Okay, how do we do this?” - Connor “Just hold on tight!” - Me (Foreshadowing for the rest of our lives?)
74 of 82
Before hitting the dance floor, we wanted to take a moment to thank our guests for being with us, and the many vendors and teams who came together to make our wedding weekend possible.
75 of 82
I must say, we really surprised ourselves with a successful father-daughter dance. My dad isn't exactly known for his rhythm, but against the odds, we pulled it off, and the crowd couldn't get enough! Despite giving dance lessons a shot a couple of months before the big day, we eventually decided to dance to our own beat, and it turned out even more fantastic than we could have anticipated! I love this man, and will forever be my daddy’s little girl.
76 of 82
Connor and his mom worked with the band to create a mashup of two of their favorite songs for their dance together. The result was so special, and there were only a few dry eyes by the time Ms. Fair invited the crowd to join them on the dance floor. Look how beautiful my mother-in-law is!
77 of 82
This marked my third performance alongside Blue Rhythm at a wedding, and how delightful it was that this occasion happened to be at my very own! Collaborating with Josh Friedman, the founder of ÉLAN ARTISTS, we crafted a truly distinctive bouquet toss. Following my dress change, I got on stage and belted out a powerhouse song by Grace Potter with the band. As the instrumental break unfolded, we invited all the single ladies to join the dance floor, and with the crescendo of the song, I tossed the bouquet. The moment was nothing short of epic. Blue Rhythm has consistently embraced me on stage, making me feel incredibly cherished and supported. They really are the best of the best.
78 of 82
Given that our love for music is well-known and a large part of our love story, we were inevitably asked if and when we would perform during our wedding weekend. We finally took the stage together towards the end of the reception to perform a fan-favorite from our college band days. Singing this song with those we love most was a memory we’ll never forget.
79 of 82
As the night unfolded on the dance floor, we changed into our dedicated dance attire, with Connor donning a handsome white dinner jacket and me slipping into the most fun dress of the weekend. Take note of our coordinated Celine sneakers ;) I had such a specific vision for this dress, so it was a dream getting to fully customize it with Peter Soronen. It hit all the right notes - It was flattering, flowy, comfortable, easy to dance in, and really fun to sing in while I performed on stage. This dress was perfect.
80 of 82
Fun-filled send-off snapshots capture the flowing elegance of my dress—exactly as I envisioned. Kudos to the creative genius, Peter Soren!

The moment we first saw the fireworks… my face says it all.
82 of 82
A dreamy send-off in yellow - my favorite color - with the top down, adorned with Mindy Rice's charming details, and a private fireworks moment... a storybook ending to the best day of our lives.
