The wedding weekend started off Thursday morning with a small, intimate ceremony in the chapel with just our immediate family. I knew I wanted something petite and classic for a bouquet, and our event designer, Mindy Rice, delivered! She used a vintage 1930s silk grosgrain ribbon from her own collection, which turned out to be my perfect something borrowed and blue.

A special moment—my dad walking me down the aisle in our family ceremony. I worked with wedding stylist Cynthia Cook Smith on all my wedding looks. For this smaller ceremony we found a chic Emilia Wickstead midi and paired it with a Gigi Burris face veil and white Manolo Blahnik pumps. It was one of my favorite looks of the entire weekend!

The first of many tears shed throughout the weekend. We will forever cherish this intimate moment between us and our families (and our amazing officiant, Dr. Dan!)

Going to the chapel and we’re… *legally* married! I love the joy and vintage feeling of this photo.

The Thursday of our wedding weekend fell on St. Patrick’s Day, so we decided to lean into the theme for our evening welcome party! Sean and I are also both from Irish families, so it felt like a perfect way to kick off the weekend. We called it an “Irish Welcome to the Lowcountry,” and encouraged guests to wear green. Mindy Rice and John Gandy Events created the perfect space for the theme.

We also leaned into the theme ourselves, of course! Cynthia and I found this Oscar de la Renta white mini dress, pairing it with green Manolo Blahnik pumps and emerald earrings as my “something green.” Sean wore a handsome green plaid blazer.

Right at sunset our guests were surprised with bagpipers on the lawn! As were we, clearly, by my face.

My beautiful (and on-theme!) friends.

I love this photo—it shows how into the green theme all the guests were! Such a beautiful and fun start to the wedding weekend.

Friday morning started off with a bridesmaid’s champagne cruise on the May River into brunch. I decided to go with a more feminine look with a Markarian white midi, the Jennifer Behr ‘Virginia’ bow, and Jimmy Choo shoes (also with bows!)

Cruisin’ with my beautiful big sisters Emily, Kate, and Laura! I would be nowhere without their life (and wedding!) guidance.
15 of 73
After the cruise, we had a beautiful brunch with all the bridesmaids and moms. I loved the bright, cheery decor from Mindy that pulled in peaches into the tablescape!
16 of 73
I gifted all my bridesmaids different Nicola Bathie Jewelry pearl earrings to wear with their dresses for Saturday’s ceremony. They loved them!

Time for rehearsal! We had adorable trolleys ready to take all guests to the rehearsal dinner on a landing on the river.
18 of 73
A moment for my dream dress! I worked with Cynthia and Brock Collection to create this custom gown for my rehearsal dinner, complete with a matching bow in the back. I loved that the white fabric had a small blue floral print instead of going for all white. And with the wind in play, the long straps had a mind of their own!

Rehearsed and ready to party! Sean looked so handsome in his custom blue linen suit.
20 of 73
Sean’s parents, Mikey and Jay, worked with Mindy Rice and John Gandy Events to bring our beautiful rehearsal dinner to life. The yellow and blue florals and citrus touches perfectly completed the rustic space. We may have had a little rain come through, but it didn’t affect the beauty of the decor—or the fun! We also had a country band play for the entire night.

Getting toasted (and roasted!) by our friends and family at our rehearsal dinner was a weekend highlight. And from the looks of this photo, I took the harder hit here!

My nieces and nephews were our flower girls and ring bearers on the wedding day. When I saw these adorable Tot A Porter outfits launch on Over The Moon, I knew they would be absolutely perfect for the little ones!

Wedding glam with my talented makeup artist, Julie Morgan! To get ready, I wore a Daphne Newman silk slip and long silk robe from Over the Moon.

My after-party dress from Markarian waiting for its late night debut. On a custom hanger gifted from my mother in law!

The stunning ladies in my life! To get ready, I gave all my bridesmaids pajamas from Daily Sleeper. When taking this photo, my nephew and ring bearer came up to the window to wave hello.

The most comfortable bridal shoes ever a la Jimmy Choo. I loved the single pearl and the ivory color—just like my wedding dress.
27 of 73
The bridal lineup! My dress and veil were Oscar de la Renta, featuring hand-cut organza poppies descending the ivory silk faille.

The final touches! Featuring my beautiful mom, Kathy. My mom wore the most stunning, custom Oscar de la Renta gown as well.

A moment for the Spanish moss. I grew up under it, so it was only natural to get married surrounded by it!

Sean and I did a first look down by the water. It was so private and special, and many tears were shed!

The groomsmen! Such a handsome, fun group from all walks of Sean’s life (and my brothers!)
32 of 73
First look with my bridesmaids! Such a special moment seeing their reaction to my dress for the first time. They also looked stunning in their dresses, each picked individually across a spring color scheme.

The Oscar veil! I loved it so much. It featured the same poppies that cascaded down my gown.

While this moment looks seemingly peaceful, what happened moments after was not. While waiting for Sean to walk down the stairs for the first look, a huge alligator thrashed out of the water five feet away from me! I was so startled and gasped so hard that I popped the clasp on the back of my dress. Luckily, one of my bridesmaids was there to sew me back in. I guess that’s what you sign up for when you get married in the South.
35 of 73
The full lineup! I loved how all the bridesmaids’ dresses came together so perfectly and complemented one another. Some of the brands included Markarian, Brock Collection, V. Chapman and more. Many were purchased on Over the Moon!

Our ceremony setup—a Plan B that looked like a Plan A! There was a tiny chance of rain for Saturday, so we had to make the call to put a tent over the ceremony that was originally intended to be open-air. We ended up loving how this turned out, creating an intimate, magical feel with the gorgeous flower arches and aisle from Mindy Rice design.

My adorable nephew, James, taking his ring bearing duties very seriously. So seriously that he and his twin, George, ran up and down the aisle multiple times!
38 of 73
My dad, Steve, and my stepdad, Jim, both walked me down the aisle. A moment I will forever cherish.
39 of 73
The smiles say it all! Seeing Sean at the end of the aisle had me smiling ear to ear.
40 of 73
My two older, identical twin brothers, Chad and Chase, officiated our wedding. They made the ceremony so incredibly special for us (and hilarious!)

The driver was pretty cute.

The tent entrance of our absolute dreams. Beyond grateful to Mindy Rice, John Gandy Events, and Skyline Tent company who brought this life!
53 of 73
For the interior of the tent, we wanted coastal chic but with a whimsical twist! Mindy Rice and John Gandy Events nailed it. I loved the custom blue and white dance floor, the geometric light pendants, and the cascading flowers everywhere! It felt like walking into a spring dream.
54 of 73
The touches of cane in the chairs also brought in the coastal feel.

What tablescape dreams are made of. I loved how this setting came together—complete with custom embossed menus from Yonder Design.

The names for each setting were hand-scrolled on pearl oyster shells with an edible pearl truffle!

When all the details and planning comes together—pure magic!

Our wedding cake was created by the fabulous Selena at Vanilla and the Bean in Savannah, Georgia. She is such a sweetheart and insanely talented. The final result was gorgeous—and delicious! It featured the same poppies that were on my Oscar wedding dress.
60 of 73
Quite possibly my favorite photo of the weekend! The rain was impeccably timed and started right as everyone entered the tent. From there I sang Alanis’ “It’s like rain on your wedding day!” verse on repeat. Also, with my name being Rainey, it seemed fitting.
61 of 73
Our first dance was to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole. We loved how upbeat it was, and it is from my favorite movie of all time, “The Parent Trap!”
62 of 73
The grand finale—dip and kiss! Our dance instructor would be so proud.
63 of 73
Our band, Party on the Moon, had the dance floor packed for the entire night. They had backup dancers, sparklers, and outfit changes. It was truly a show!
64 of 73
Cutting the cake! For the reception, I changed into an Oscar de la Renta halter gown, and Sean changed into a white tuxedo jacket and Stubbs and Wootton martini slippers.

Never met a dance circle I didn’t like.

The reception grand finale—confetti and all!
67 of 73
For the after-party, we wanted to create a saloon-like space for dancing! Mindy Rice and John Gandy Events transformed the space into “Rainey and Sean’s Lucky Clover Saloon” complete with western decor, light up cowboy hats, and neon signage for our favorite sports teams.
68 of 73
Guests were greeted with espresso martini shots upon arrival!
69 of 73
The “Diana” dress from Markarian finally had its moment at the after-party! It was perfect for the western theme and the beaded fringe was so fun to dance in. I was so happy Cynthia found this one for me.

Can you tell I liked to dance in this one?
