Invitations and stationary by Hatchcove Designs were so fun and totally captured the island vibe and overall aesthetic of each event. We invited 70 of our immediate family and closest friends and had 62 total attend, the best unexpected turn out for halfway across the world!

Choosing a more romantic and classic look to match the hundreds of orchid stems and flowers used that night, I wore a two piece Carolina Herrera set and pink stone earrings paired with pink Bottega Veneta kitten heels, a white wicker Serpui clutch, and clear Oliver Peoples x Khaite sunglasses. A white orcid stem was placed in my natural curly half up-do to really bring it all together.

Stunning family welcome dinner overlooking the middle of Port de Soller. The Drifter used Lisa Corti linens, along with amazing florals from local Mallorcan florsit, Bombillas y Flores.

Hatchcove Designs created an orchid-inspired menu card. This dinner was intimate and the only plated dinner of the week, allowing our families to sit down with each other before the festivities began.

All smiles as we walked up to the veranda and saw the incredible table scape for the first time.

Chef Michael Zentner gave us an beautiful overview of the menu before the meal, telling us he even foraged some of the herbs used from the side of the road earlier that day!

One of my favorite films Cameron took as the sun was setting directly behind us.

The Drifter culinary team used all local Mallorca seafood to create a spectacular first course of chirashi. Local Valenciano rice cooked in the style of Japanese chirashi and Lowcountry crab rice preparations, using the local rice to blend the three styles together as a cool nod to Charleston.

This dish was so beautiful with heirloom tomatoes, peaches, nectarines, and local Mallorcan Mahón cheese.

The final course was a valrhona chocolate tart with white chocolate mousse, apricot puree and bourbon cherry gastrique. The Drifter pastry chef baked everything fresh for the entire week for us and it was such a treat!

I played tennis in college and was so excited one of the "fincas" (Spanish for estate) we stayed at most of the week with my family had a gorgeous tennis court overlooking the mountains. One of my best friends who came to Mallorca, Ali Lewis Passink, is a senior stylist for Moda Operandi and styled me head to toe the entire week. Obsessed with the HommeGirl matching set, exclusive to Moda Operandi.

Port de Soller has a famous vintage trolley that runs through the town and up to the mountain town of Soller that is a must-do experience.
15 of 60
It was a hot week! I found the perfect "emergency purchase" fan to match my handbag at a shop in Port while waiting on the trolley.
16 of 60
The hop on, hop off trolley is best and easiest way to get around Port. Ryans family stayed in Port de Soller and my family was in the mountains of Soller, only a short drive or trolley ride away.

Boarding the Perfection for our Welcome Boat Day! We rented out the entire Perfect Charter fleet of boats for all of our guests on Wednesday, the absolute best way to see the island!

We went with a Brigitte Bardot-meets-vintage-Dior vibe for this look, something comfortable and chic, given it was an all-day adventure with lunch at our favorite restaurant overlooking Cala Tuent. I wore a Magda Butrym high-waisted flower appliqué bikini with a matching skirt, Dior sandals and custom tote, and vintage CD sunglasses.

Pulling out of Port. The start of the most epic boat day ever.

After arriving at Cala Tuent, we all took dinghys from the boats and hiked up to Es Vergeret resturant overlooking the beautiful pebble beach.

The BEST and largest paella at Es Vergeret restaurant.

The water in Mallorca is the most beautiful deep blue yet so crystal clear you can see your toenail polish!

The Rehearsal Party was hosted at a gorgeous private finca in the mountains of Soller. The vibe was very "Welcome to Spain" with colorful cocktail attire, flamenco dancers and a 10 piece Spanish band. I immediately fell in love with the ruffled linen high-low yellow Zimmerman dress from Moda Operandi. It was such a fun statement piece for the aesthetic of the night. Pearl is the stone of Mallorca so when I saw the Cult Gaia shell purse, one of only 35 originally made, at their Soho store I knew it was it. Paired with a matching bracelet, simple Aerin t-strap gold sandals and Brinker and Eliza pearl earrings it was the perfect outfit for the outdoor party and dancing.

Ryan worked with Chelsie Ravenell, stylist at Gwynn's of Mount Pleasant, for his colorful cocktail attire. He wore an aqua green Zegna sport coat, orange linen Isaia shirt and blue Santoni loafers with matching crocodile embossed belt.

Every guest nailed the colorful cocktail attire, including Cameron Moskos and Greta Pierson, with the matching yellow!

Using Lisa Corti tablecloths, The Drifter created a grazing display using local fruits and terra cotta pottery for a more traditional Spanish aesthetic.
27 of 60
The Drifter created this epic mille-feuille as a nod to a non-traditional wedding cake. They even made individual ones that were so fun to pass around!

After dancing the night away, we jumped in the pool! My dad was the first to jump in, and I told Ryan there was no way I was getting in. The lead singer of the band did as he ended his set, and I immediately changed my mind. Most of our guests did too—some of the funniest pictures of the week!

The most epic end to the night!

One of the most meaningful moments in our relationship was when I was in Mallorca by myself 6+ years ago and Ryan sent me a recording of him playing the acoustic version of Jack Johnson and Eddie Vedder's song “Constellations” on the guitar. It was shortly after we met and the first time he played the guitar for me. It really made me fall in love with him and throughout our relationship he would send it to me as a reminder. When it came time to pick out a wedding dress, I knew I didn’t want a traditional dress but had no idea what I was looking for. Stacy Smallwood (owner of Hampden boutique in Charleston, SC) went with me to Bergdorf’s to get a feel for the different fits and styles. The third or forth dress I tried was one she pulled, a part of Cuccelelli Shaheen’s “Constellation” collection, and I knew it was what I wanted. It was meaningful because of our song, but also reminded me of the magic of Mallorca. I worked with the boutique Jimmy’s in New York to fully customize the Cucculelli Shaheen Constellation gown.

The night sky specific to July 21, 2023 at 10 PM in Mallorca was used in addition to our birthdates to create the star map embroidery. 960 hours of hand embroidery! The Constellation dress (nicknamed "Connie" by Sarah's mom) was the inspiration for celestial themed wedding night

Ryan gifted me the most beautiful custom pair of diamond "Constellation" earrings from Briony Raymond New York and wrote me the sweetest card I will cherish forever. Getting ready I wore a Carine Gilson lace trimmed camisole and matching robe as local Mallorcan makeup artist, Carolina Taylor and Larry Raspanti of Whittemore House Salon in New York, did the finishing touches.

We chose to get ready and do the first look at La Residencia, a Belmont Hotel in Deia, a nearby quaint and artsy town. It is special to us because I stayed in on my first visit to Mallorca when I fell in love with Ryan, where I brought him to on our scouting visit last year, and where we the spent our wedding night.
34 of 60
For Ryan's gift, I worked with Marlo Laz, a Manahatten based jeweler, to create custom "Zodiac" cufflinks that include his initials in diamonds, a sapphire stone (Sarah’s birthstone), a garnet stone (Ryans birthstone), a pearl (to represent Mallorca), their anniversary date, and two M’s for his children- Mackenize and Mills. The custom studs are mother of pearl, a nod to Mallorca. These are his forever cufflinks and he was really surprised how special they were.

Ryan wore full Tom Ford for the wedding night. He worked with Bergdorf Goodman's Men's store to customize the white dinner jacket and tuxedo pant, shirt made of Sea Island cotton (homage to him growing up in Georgia) and loafers paired with matching sunglasses.
36 of 60
I wore a variety of bobby pins from the Jennifer Behr “Celestial” edit in my hairstyle. Ryan always says it is like dating 2 different girls when I wear my hair straight and curly. For the wedding night, I wanted to surprise him with a more blown out look to switch it up.

La Residencia is an absolutely gorgeous property and Cameron chose the picturesue entrance path to the olive and citrus groves as the setting for the first look.

My mom and sister helping me get into "Connie" (our nickname for my dress, short for Constellations) right before the ceremony.

We worked with Hatchcove Designs to have tambourines made for each guest. This was so fun for our recessional, and also doubled as guest seating!
41 of 60
My dad walked me down the aisle to Jack Johnson and Eddie Vedder’s acoustic “Constellation” song, the same version Ryan played for me on the guitar when I was in Mallorca 6+ years ago and what inspired my dress and theme for the evening. We had an incredible Spanish duo perform the ceremony music that really set the romantic tone.

Another one of my favorite films! The cermony took place in a citrus grove at a private finca in UNESCO protected Tramuntana moutains of Soller. The florals were citrus colored, inspired by the cermony location and guests were greeted with champagne and our favorite citrus cocktail "The King's Honey", from the Obstinate Daughter restaurant in our hometown of Sullivans Island.

Ryan’s older brother, Todd, was the officiant and we said our own vows. I went first because I thought Ryan’s were going to make me cry but it was the opposite!

Our first kiss(es)!

We walked out to “Sara Smiles,” our first kiss and proposal song, while guests shook their tambourines.

It was perfect. Very intimate, very us. Having our immediate family and closest friends together where it all started, to celebrate us, was truly unforgettable for everyone!

The reception started off on the terrace overlooking the citrus groves. The decor was golden and glowy to match the celestial theme. Hundreds of candles, different lounge areas and multiple bands made for the ultimate party setting.

Gorgeous mountain backdrop.

Our parents, they really were troopers the entire week!

The wedding attire was "Metallic Cocktail" attire. Sunju and SImi Patel and Jessica Reid, friends from Charleston, definitely got the memo and were dressed to the nines per usual.

A super refreshing take on traditional wedding food, we had a display of roasted fish, grilled meats and salads. This watermelon, tomato, feta was so nice in the heat!
53 of 60
I loved my simple and timeless lillies of the valley bouquet! The sun didn't set until 9:15, so we chose to have a night wedding, with the ceremony starting around 8:30 PM for the best sunlight. I love the light in these and that Cameron was able to capture a few bridal portraits before nightfall.

Glen with Panela Productions was amazing. He nailed our first dance song, "Just a Friend" by Biz Markie! It was the first song Ryan and I ever danced to when we started dating so we had to do it! It definitely set the vibe for the party ahead.

A little one-on-one time, soaking it all in.

Just before midnight, we moved the party inside the historic Tafona ("oil mill") that had been transformed into a night club. A change into a party dress and pony was a must. I wore full Paco Rabbanne, an iconic Spanish designer who passed away earlier this year and has always been a favorite of mine. His exclusive to Moda Operandi white mini assemblage dress, paired with matching slides and his brass earrings and bag created the perfect party look to dance the night away.
57 of 60
The entrance into the 17th century olive oil mill aka "Rave Cave" may have been our favorite part of the reception. The DJ with the saxophonist, fireworks at the entrance, everyone cheering for us after my outfit change. It was epic.

This picture is just so electric!!

Ain't no cave like the Rave Cave! In true Spanish fashion the party lasted until almost 4 AM!

The original olive press made for the ultimate dancing platform. I couldn't stop shimmying in this dress!
