Originally founded in 1842 by Count Leopold von Schaffgotsch and named after his beloved wife Josephine, Josephinenhütte was led by the brilliant artisan Franz Pohl who went beyond the boundaries of what was thought possible in glassmaking at the time. A century later, Josephinenhütte was revitalized by three friends, fascinated and inspired by the value of true craftsmanship. A soft linen cloth and a watercolour brush are the best things for taking care of your glasses. The Josephinenhütte glasses are dishwasher suitable, but hand-washing is recommended.
