Censurado Flower Pot

Bordallo Pinheiro

Censurado Flower Pot

Named for the 19th century illustrator, sculptor and ceramicist, Bordallo Pinheiro continues the iconoclast’s legacy of unique art by applying ancestral manufacturing techniques and naturalistic motifs—inspired by Portugal’s flora and fauna—to versatile and decorative tabletop pieces. The Censurado is inspired an an original collaboration between  Bordallo and his son, Manuel Gustavo. The sculptural virtuosity encounters naturalist forms, as in Censurado Chicken Tureen, a decorative conduit for everything from butter to spices to sauces and desserts.
