Inspired by the quiet confidence of objects refined repeatedly by skilled craftspeople, William Reardon founded New York Stoneware in 2013 with an eye toward simple gestures and purposeful forms. He creates objects that are soulful, but also functional—and each piece is individually hand-thrown on the pottery wheel, finished, and glazed by a small team of artisans in the South Bronx. Inspired by 18th-century Italian pewter chargers, these Dinner Plates work well for formal and informal meals.
