Designer Meg Busacca is an old soul with a strong connection to the past and a love of vintage fashion. When Covid-19 hit, she dug through the stockpile of antique fabrics that she'd sourced over the years from various sellers throughout the world—some date back to the 1800s in Paris, others come from a collector's 1930s-era stash in Vermont—and got to work making one-of-a-kind masks. "I absolutely love hunting for these textiles for my customers and seeing what they react to," Busacca says. "It has been a meaningful process to provide them with something extra special during such a bleak time." The resulting masks, created with everything from delicate eyelet and beautiful brocade, are, no doubt, a bright spot.
