Lindsay Ryan Silverman, an associate buyer at Inscape, and Corey Goldman Gross, owner of athlete marketing agency Three Point Sports, met briefly before going to the same college and ending up two dorm rooms away from each other at freshman move in. Eight years of dating later, Corey proposed on a candlelit and rose petal scattered beach in Delray, Florida.
The two loved the idea of a wedding in the Sunshine State but didn’t want a typical ballroom setting. Once they saw Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, it immediately took their breath away. “You get transported back in time with its unique architecture and elegant gardens. We wanted an ethereal, bohemian, and enchanted wedding, so we knew it would match our aesthetic,” Lindsay explains. To help bring her vision to life, she hired Vanessa Forbes of Karma Goddess Event Planning & Design.
The bride had always imagined herself in Vera Wang, and she found the one in the second gown she tried on. “It couldn’t have been more perfect for me,” she says of her ivory lace and high-neck dress with bell sleeves and a cathedral-length train. The groom wore a custom black tuxedo by Martin Greenfield. “He looked very elegant and classy.”
At the Garden Mound, with its sweeping trees and Spanish moss, Lindsay walked down the rose petal-lined aisle with her parents to meet Corey under the chuppah, decorated with curly willow branches, blush and ivory florals, and moss accents. The two exchanged personal, heartfelt vows in front of their favorite people. “I felt like I was on cloud nine,” the groom adds.
After stomping on the glass and sharing their first kiss, the two led everyone to the reception tent. There, tables were adorned with antique gold lanterns, varying bud vases, garden-inspired florals, french lace, and tapered candlesticks. “I gasped when I saw our vision come to life,” Lindsay admits.
The bride was too excited to stay in her seat during dinner, so she ended up dancing the entire time, and the newlyweds officially got the party started with a first dance to Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon.”
After an unforgettable wedding weekend, Lindsay and Corey took off for their honeymoon in South Africa, where they visited Cape Town, Sabi Sands, and the Bazaruto Archipelago.
