We love Bridal Fashion Week! It’s like RTW-light: kinder, gentler—and the focus is 100% on wedding dresses, which we obviously are big fans of. Here’s a roundup of our favorite looks from the Fall 2017 season.
“My roommate sophomore year had several classes with Andy [Katz] and was on a mission to set us up,” remembers Townsend Lloyd. “She even recorded one of his in-class presentations on her phone so I could hear how funny he was.”
“My girlfriends and I ended up at a senior house party one night [during freshmen year of college],” remembers D’Arcy Danaher. “During a game of beer pong, Chris introduced himself and asked if I’d step in as his partner. We won for three straight hours, but it wasn’t until we met again a few months later that we became official.”
“Kate arrived at the agreed Brooklyn restaurant [for our first date] in a Ford pick up truck, with a can of Budweiser in the cup holder, playing Bruce Springsteen,” says Benjamin Towill. “For a boy from England, that was it.”
Connor Atkinson and Marshall Macon’s romance all started with a Tinder takeover. One Labor Day, Connor’s friends decided to commandeer her account while they were in Montauk for a girls’ weekend, and when they saw a preppy guy pictured on the beach in a Masters visor, they quickly swiped right.
Melissa “Missy” Bruggeman and Ethan Nordberg were seated next to each other at a wedding in Rye, New York in the spring of 2014. “We were at the ‘singles’ table and immediately hit it off,” remembers Missy.
“John was a senior at Harvard visiting for the weekend,” remembers Charlotte. “Even though we had only had a few conversations, we both felt strange parting ways—we’d just met, but we already missed each other.”
