Gwen Whiting and James Dale’s meet-cute could have been pulled from the pages of a novel set in 1920s’ New York. It all started while waiting on a Penn Station platform to board a train headed for Long Island at the start of a summer weekend.
“Doug and I talked about dating a few times over the years, we even went to prom together, but it took us a while to finally go for it,” explains the bride. “I think part of the reason why it took us so long . . . is because we both knew it would be serious from the start.”
