Actors Lauren Christine Swickard and Joshua Swickard, who currently plays Detective Harrison Chase on ABC’s General Hospital, met on the set of the Netflix movie Roped and started dating once the film wrapped. "He eventually asked for my number underneath the famous Warner Brothers water tower in Hollywood," she says. After a year-and-a-half of dating, he asked her to marry him while acting out the word "proposal" during charades with both of their families in Colorado.

Since Lauren grew up in Ohio, and Josh is from the mid-west, Cincinnati was a great meeting point for their families. "We wanted the day to reflect our lifestyles and personalities so 'Old Hollywood Glamour' was a perfect choice!" she says. To help plan their July wedding, they hired The Lindsey Baer Company.

For her wedding dress, the bride chose a sleek and simple Elizabeth Fillmore gown and quoted Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy as her inspiration. For added drama, she also asked Monique Lhuillier to design a removable overskirt, which she removed after the ceremony. Bridesmaids complemented Lauren well in Morning Mist Jenny Yoo dresses, and groomsmen looked handsome in classic black-tie with gifted gold knot cufflinks.

At the Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Lauren walked down the aisle carrying a bouquet of sweet peas to the white floral-framed altar, decorated by Robin Wood Flowers. "I’ve never experienced such joy than in the moment when my dad walked me down the aisle," she remarks. "Josh’s father is a minister and performed the ceremony, which made it so incredibly personal and unique."

Once officially wed, everyone headed to Greenacres—a 1920s Tudor estate and working farm that spans nearly 600 acres. "The horses meandering in the fields upon arrival provided the perfect backdrop to how we met on the 'rodeo' movie set," Lauren says. Guests enjoyed music from a string quartet and speciality drinks named after the couples' characters.

Before sitting down, the newlyweds did a choreographed dance outside to "L.O.V.E." by Frank Sinatra. "Our first dance was very similar to the famous dance in one of our favorite films White Christmas," Lauren remarks. "Despite a slight wardrobe malfunction and a giant tree that fell on the dance floor just an hour before our performance—applause to our wedding planner, Lindsey, who saved the day—the dance was everything we could have hoped for; it was perfect."

Dinner by Eat Well Celebrations and Feasts was served under the beautiful tent with tables from All Occasions Event Rental decorated with high and low white floral arrangements and suspended candles and globes. Personalized menu cards by Cheree Berry Paper were tucked into embroidered napkins and hand-tied with a silk ribbon.

After the meal, the two cut their lemon olive oil cake with strawberry filling and vanilla icing from Happy Chicks Bakery, and everyone made their way to the black and white checkered dance floor with Liquid Blue Party Band.

As the night ended, the new Mr. and Mrs. made their exit in a 1963 Rolls-Royce, while guests fanned "Lauren heart Josh" embroidered handkerchiefs—waving them into their new married life!
