Caroline Rose Hartig, vice president of television at Screen Arcade (which produces Netflix's Narcos), met Braden Kent Currier at her first job, as an assistant to a talent agent at WME, where he still works as an unscripted television and sports agent. They used to sit right next to each other and developed a close friendship. "As Hollywood assistants, you are really in the trenches together and see peoples’ true colors," Caroline says. "It's a pressure cooker, and you see each other at your best and worst."

After she left the company to pursue a career in producing television, they ran into each other at an industry event and clicked immediately. The two dated just shy of two years before he proposed on the beach at Shutters on the Beach—where they had their first date—at sunset. Once she said yes and calmed down, he hit her with another surprise—a 5-day trip to Four Seasons Hualalai. And when they went home to pack, he shocked her again, by convincing their families to fly-in from New York, San Francisco, and Laguna on a Wednesday for an engagement party.

From the get-go, the couple wanted to throw a destination wedding. "Hawaii is a very special place to both Braden and I, and we each grew up going with our respective families—we were actually in the same place at the same time more than once and could have crossed paths without knowing it!" Caroline says "We are both very fortunate to have spent a lot of time on various islands, but neither of us had been to Lanai."

Once they stepped foot on the island, they knew they were going to get married there. "Lanai has an indescribable, almost magical feel to it, and we felt an instant connection to the gem," Caroline says. "We loved everything from the incredible fresh local food, activities like UTV-ing, sailing, and horseback riding." They booked Four Seasons Lanai, and to help plan their "Black Tie Lanai"weekend, they hired the destination planning extraordinaire team KED & Co. Hudson Ink, who did all of the invitation stationary, made incredible signs for all the events, and Inspiration Events Hawaii and Mandy Grace Designs nailed the decor, while Ohana Films captured everything on video.

The festivities started with an intimate family dinner at One Forty, followed by "Meet for Mai Tais" at Malibu Farm with games, drinks, and dessert. "Everything was personalized from our crest on the popsicle truck to the corn-hole and Jenga games." Caroline wore a Johanna Ortiz coral dress with Oscar de la Renta earrings, red Alexandre Birman heels, a vintage raffia Bottega Veneta clutch, and a white flower crown.

On Friday morning, Caroline and her closest girlfriends went sailing on a private boat along the coast, where they bonded, sang the Moana soundtrack, and jumped into the clear water. The bride wore a Zimmermann sundress and one-piece, Hermès sandals, a custom "Mrs. Currier" sunhat, and Oliver Peoples sunnies.

At the same time, Braden hosted a golf tournament with uniforms sponsored by Under Armour. That afternoon, everyone rejoined for a pool party on Plumeria Lawn with plenty of White Claws and fun drinks in pineapples.

Since everyone flew into Lanai, all guests were included in their rehearsal dinner in Lanai Garden. A local band performed, while people enjoyed the delicious pizza, fresh fish tacos, Hawaiian malsadas (donuts), and coconut drinks.

To get ready with her girls on Saturday morning, Caroline wore the white Sleeper Party Pajama Set with Feathers and gifted Eberjey palm tree pajamas to her bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law. Then she put on her custom Monique Lhuillier lace gown and matching veil, ready to walk down the aisle.

Outside, with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and "Sweetheart Rock," Caroline was escorted by her father to Braden, who was waiting in a midnight blue Isaia tux and Prada loafers with martini socks. "When I saw Braden, he was a puddle of tears!" she says. The bride's uncle, who is also her godfather, officiated the personal ceremony. "There was a great homage to our families, specifically our grandparents who all had huge hands in raising us."

After finally being announced as married, the two led everyone to the reception, which mimicked an intimate dinner party. Guests loved the local, fresh meal, and the minute it was done, DJ Tendaji Lathan from L.A. had the dance floor packed until the music had to be cut.

The newlyweds had their first dance to "Hey Pretty Girl" by Kip Moore, and then later, "light-up flower crowns were passed out with ice cream sandwiches, and it was hilarious seeing everyone breaking it down on the dance floor, mostly barefoot!" Caroline shares. "And OF COURSE, when 'Sweet Caroline' played, everyone went ballistic! The energy on the dance floor was palpable—we could have danced for days!"

For the after-party at the sports bar, the bride changed into a Patty Ang slip dress and sparkly ostrich cape with Alaïa heels. "Some of our guests continued into the pool after the after party, and bow ties were found the next morning," she says. "To me, that was our vision embodied and the sign of an epic night!"
