Kirby Nassetta and Timothy Aldinger Jr. went to their high school prom together on June 10, 2015—almost exactly ten years before their wedding date—and spent that summer side by side before life pulled them in different directions. However, everything changed in 2019 when Tim visited Charleston . . . and Kirby. “After dinner, we watched Ant-Man, and the rest was history,” she smiles. Four more years of long distance followed before they finally landed in the same place—and five years later, almost to the day, Tim proposed.
The proposal unfolded at Kirby’s family’s annual post-Thanksgiving gathering along the Chesapeake Bay. Tim hid the ring in a cedar tree overlooking the water and convinced Kirby—reluctantly—to take a walk, during which he got down on one knee. The day ended exactly how they had hoped—surrounded by family and friends, celebrating somewhere that already felt like home.
As a sales manager for Destination South Meetings and Events, Kirby spends her days planning and producing large-scale experiences—something that naturally shaped how she approached her own wedding. But instead of overcomplicating the process, she leaned into what mattered most: the setting, the feeling, and the people.
On June 21, 2025, Kirby and Tim were married at her family’s ranch in Montana, planned alongside Azalea Events. “The ranch has always been my favorite place in the world . . . especially because of the memories I share there with my grandpa,” Kirby shares. “When I took Tim there for the first time, it didn’t take long for my special place to become our special place.” With the location set, the aesthetic followed—organic, timeless, and designed to blend seamlessly with the natural beauty of Montana in the summertime.
Fashion became a defining element of the weekend, with stylist Tara Maietta curating each look to reflect Kirby’s effortless, understated style. For the rehearsal dinner, she wore a Ralph Lauren bias-cut dress paired with cowboy boots, a hat, and Moonbeam earrings—“comfortable, but still felt like me,” she notes. At the welcome party, an embroidered skirt and suede cropped jacket added texture, while turquoise earrings brought in a subtle pop of color.
Finding her wedding dress, however, took patience. “On our fourth day of wedding dress shopping in NYC, about to give up hope . . . nearly 30 dresses later, we finally found the dress,” Kirby says. Her SEPT New York look featured a dropped corseted bodice and a sheer A-line skirt in pleated printed organza—creating an ethereal, slightly rustic look that felt aligned with the setting without overpowering it. Beauty was kept natural with Marcela Cloud on makeup and Brook Spain on hair, enhancing rather than transforming.
Tim’s look was equally considered. He wore a custom Italian wool-blend suit styled with a Brunello Cucinelli tie and pocket square, a combination that felt both elevated and relaxed. “Our priority was making sure that Tim wore something that reflected his style and made him feel comfortable,” Kirby explains. For the after-party, he changed into a blue H-Bar-C ranchwear shirt with red floral detailing—reflecting Kirby’s own second look.
The ceremony took place on a grassy knoll overlooking Fan Mountain and the Madison Range, with a string section setting the tone and florals by Lotus Floral Designs framing the view. Subtle paper details by Chatty Press tied everything together—from invitations to day-of pieces—introducing guests to the aesthetic before they even arrived. Captured by photographer Kylie Martin, every moment—from the sweeping landscape to the smallest details—felt both intimate and expansive. The night before, a fresh layer of snow had dusted the mountains. “Tim says that the snow on the mountain looked like my dress,” Kirby shares. “Once we locked eyes, it felt like it was just the two of us.”
As the evening shifted into the reception, guests moved under a beautifully appointed tent with rentals from Tailored & Tied, Montana Party Rentals, and LMD Productions, all thoughtfully layered to maintain the natural, elevated aesthetic. The celebration began with their first dance to "You’re All I Need to Get By" by Marvin Gaye before transitioning into a seated dinner.
The menu reflected both refinement and comfort, beginning with a crab cake gazpacho, followed by a burrata salad, and ending with filet and family-style chicken. Speeches became a standout moment of the evening—especially from Kirby’s father, her grandfather, Tim’s best friend, and all five of her sisters. “I have never felt more loved in my entire life,” Kirby says.
After dinner, Kirby and Tim honored her late grandfather with a limoncello toast—one of the most meaningful moments of the night. “My favorite part was looking through photos and seeing my 92-year-old grandma taking the shot,” she adds. Then, with music from The Sultans, the dance floor quickly filled. “Watching all of our guests take the dance floor was an epic scene—and it was a relief to no longer be the center of attention.”
Midway through the night, Kirby made a quick outfit change with the help of her sisters—“the quickest outfit change of my adult life”—before heading back to the party.
In true ranch fashion, the celebration didn’t end there. Guests made their way to the barn for an after-party complete with late-night snacks—“one of the best grilled cheeses of my life,” Kirby says—keeping the energy going well into the night.
Looking ahead, the couple is planning a honeymoon this July with a safari in Africa followed by time in the Seychelles—another destination rooted in experience and intention.
