OTM Directory Photographer Anne Rhett’s Eclectic, Maximalist Dream Registry

JUNE 4, 2026

This spring, it was Over The Moon Directory Photographer Anne Jervey Rhett’s turn to be in front of the lens, as she wed golf professional Matthew Walpole Appleby in a romantic wedding in South Carolina. No stranger to having her work featured on Vogue.com, Anne—as of this week—can also now call herself a Vogue Bride, as OTM founder and Vogue.com Contributing Editor Alexandra Macon covered Anne’s wedding in a beautiful feature, published this week.

Anne and Matthew both grew up in Charleston and attended the same high school, but that’s not where sparks flew. “She was a cool senior when I was a sophomore, so I like to say that she didn’t know me, but I definitely knew her,” Matthew smiles. “Our paths crossed again later in life when my sister got married and Anne was the wedding photographer. She was most professional, deflecting my advances and flirtation in the moment, much to my dismay. When Anne released the photos. I used it as an excuse to ask her out.”

After two years together, Anne brought Matthew along to a wedding she was shooting on Harbour Island. After work was done, on the pink sands, Matthew romantically got down on one knee. The pair began planning their wedding at Sunny Point Farm on Wadmalaw Island. “His parents and his maternal grandparents both had their wedding receptions at this same spot, so it holds much sentimental value,” Anne shares.

As for her bridal wardrobe, Anne turned to Over The Moon Styling for help. “Wedding fashion is my favorite sport,” Anne smiles. “OTM Stylist Grace Givens connected me with amazing designers in NYC, and seeing how and where these women create was one of my favorite parts of the process! My journey to the dress included Goodwill trips, veils in garbage bags, a trip to Vionette Vintage in Atlanta, and lots of online shopping.”

Long before Anne walked down the aisle, she photographed some of our favorite Over The Moon campaigns and events—from the AERIN and Emilia Wickstead event in 2024 to our annual New York Bridal Fashion Week event at Manolo Blahnik and more. And there’s no stopping there! Anne was even with our team in Charleston this week on a top-secret set. (You’ll see soon!)

Since Anne has been an integral part of Over The Moon for so long and knows our style like the back of her hand, who better to share her Dream Registry?

Adventure

Never a dull moment when you’re always on the go!

Q: How would you describe your aesthetic?

Eclectic, collected, maximalist.

Q: How do you like to go about decorating your spaces?

My mother always told me the best homes are filled over time. Like her, I love heirlooms, antique finds, and collected objects. Some call it hoarding, we call it collecting.

Tabletop

A warm, nature-inspired palette feels welcoming.

Q: Can you explain why you chose a few specific products for your dream registry?

Imagining a summer porch party, the botanical print tablecloth is a work of art, especially when paired with the hurricane from E&S Imports. The cooler is just so retro adorable and feels perfect for romanticizing your life on a beach or boat day. And finally, I am lucky to be able to travel for work and feel even luckier when Matthew is able to join. The weekender bag feels very shareable—both his and hers!

Around The Home

Your space should reflect who you are.

Anne leaves us with sage advice for couples currently making their own Over The Moon Registries: “Register for the life you want, not the life you have. You might not be in the habit of going on picnics or making your tea at home or inviting your friends for dinner, but the right basket/kettle/plate might inspire you. Just think of the possibilities.”
