Maison Atia Founder Chloe Mendel Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan celebrated their second wedding anniversary this September. The pair wed at their lakeside home in Highland Park in September 2023. Her bridal fashion was especially sentimental. “My father is the designer Gilles Mendel,” Chloe explained to OTM Founder Alexandra Macon for Vogue.com. “So it was a no-brainer for Billy and me to collaborate with him on all of our looks.”
If Gilles’s name sounds familiar, it’s definitely because of his work as the creative director of J. Mendel. Together with his daughter, Chloe, they founded House of Gilles, which has quickly become a destination for couture, bridal, and custom creations in the heart of New York City’s Garment District . . . and is now available on Over The Moon! “While creating my wedding gown with my father, we had so much fun—we didn’t want the experience to end,” Chloe explains. “I remember saying, ‘Dad, why don’t we do this for other people?’ We took a leap of faith, and here we are — dressing women for one of the most meaningful days of their lives. Women who appreciate craftsmanship, artistry, and the feeling of something made just for them.”

To celebrate House of Gilles’s arrival on Over The Moon, Chloe graciously updated her Dream Registry. The co-founder describes her own personal aesthetic as “1930s glamour meets Hollywood Regency with a touch of goth romance—think candlelight, lace, and a bit of mystery.” With that in mind, Chloe’s registry is filled with items that cheekily nod to her husband’s famous band, are perfect for holiday hosting, and so much more.
Tabletop & Entertaining
Celestial details bring star motifs down to earth and onto the table, grounded by the floral details of Petra Palumbo and Ginori 1735 Oriente Italiano patterns.
Honestly, I live in a perpetual fantasy. I want to be in a William Powell and Carole Lombard movie 24/7. We build that dream into our home—every corner tells a story. We’re homebodies who love to entertain, but our world is also very private. It’s less about function and more about creating an atmosphere that supports our creativity.
Billy has such a presence—his world is cinematic, a little dark, and full of soul. I love a witchy, romantic moment, so we’ve found our harmony in that space. It’s moody but warm, nostalgic but bright.
Home & Decor
With the right homeware, entertaining couldn’t be easier—or more beautiful.
She’s feminine, elegant, and soulful. She doesn’t follow trends—she creates her own moment. My father and I took a leap of faith, and here we are—dressing women for one of the most meaningful days of their lives. Women who appreciate craftsmanship, artistry, and the feeling of something made just for them.
Holiday Season Essentials
Holiday decorations and festive finishes will become cherished pieces, brought out and enjoyed every year.
Chloe leaves us with advice for couples currently making their own Over The Moon Registries: “Keep your registry in tune with your home. Don’t get swept up by things that look fantastic on paper but don’t naturally blend into your world. Choose pieces that feel like you—the same way you would curate your closet. If it doesn’t fit your life or your aesthetic, you’ll never reach for it.”
