Cabana Magazine Founder and Editor Martina Mondadori and OTM Founder Alexandra Macon dreamed up their latest collaboration over coffee and breakfast in Charleston. Months later, the Cabana for Over The Moon Collection has finally arrived, featuring a whimsical Arcadian Floral motif designed for for every late-summer gatherings and well-curated wedding registries.
To celebrate the launch, the founders gathered together Out East to toast to the exclusive collection. Hosted by Alexandra Mondre alongside Macon, Mondadori, and OTM Directory Planner Augusta Cole, the evening brought together two communities with a shared appreciation for thoughtful entertaining and the beauty of a well-set table.

The guest list reflected the partnership itself, bringing together friends of both brands from across the worlds of design, fashion, entertaining, and weddings. Among those in attendance were Hannah Bronfman, Marcy Blum, Sarah Wetenhall, Berry Bloomingdale, Joey Wölffer, Nicole Hanley, Jessica Sailer Van Lith, Grace Givens, Sonja Koenig, Marcie Pantzer, Annabelle Moehlmann, and Lexie Mack, alongside the evening’s hosts.
By the end of the evening, the table that had begun as an idea over breakfast was filled with friends in Bridgehampton.
And to further bring the Milan-based founder and editor into the world of Over The Moon, Martina is sharing her Dream Registry, filled with Italian-inspired pieces for the dining room, home, and beyond.

How do you like to decorate your spaces?
I always start with the space itself. Where does the light come from, and how are the bones of the room, etc. I start with the layout, and then the fun begins. I love mixing textures and fabrics, especially mixing fabrics by the meter with one-of-a-kind vintage ones that add texture and layering. Also, the furniture is normally a mix of high and low, made-to-order things and tons of vintage! I love my houses to feel cozy and welcoming yet beautifully decorated.

Q:
Are there any books or interior designers that you often turn to for guidance?
Renzo Mongiardino was my mentor, and I often still think of him or refer to him. I loved all of Cy Twombly’s homes and Robert Kime in London.

Martina leaves us with sage advice for couples creating their own OTM Registry: “Mix high and low pieces. You will very often have kitchen or TV dinners, but then you'll love to entertain family and friends," she adds. "Get ready for both.”
