What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon Registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Late last year, our very own financial analyst Molly got engaged to Sam, who she first met on her 21st birthday. “We ended up talking for hours, and I felt as though I’d already known him for years,” she shares. After four years together, Sam proposed in Northern Michigan. They had planned a quiet fall weekend to visit her parents. Before their dinner reservation, Sam asked Molly to meet him outside. “As we walked hand in hand down to the lakefront, it suddenly hit me what was happening. . .In front of the beautiful lake, surrounded by fall colors, he got down on one knee. Overwhelmed with joy, I couldn’t help but jump and cry!”

Once engaged, the Chicago-based couple quickly set a wedding date for December 13, 2025, in Boca Grande, Florida. And as a true Over The Moon Bride, Molly got a jump on creating her Dream Registry.

She and Sam don't yet live together yet, so this is an amazing opportunity to truly start from square one. "A few must haves for my Dream Registry were Ginori china, Aerin picture frame, Matouk duvet cover, and Staub dutch oven," she shares. "I want our bedroom to be a lush reprieve that we love spending time in, and Matouk is the first step to creating that."

The financial analyst describes her aesthetic as "a meeting of English country house charm with the warmth and hospitality of Southern tradition." She continues, "It embodies timeless sophistication, antique charm, and effortless grace." And when it comes to decorating her spaces, Molly is drawn to incorporating decor that feels like it had been there all along for years. "Details like garden-inspired wallpaper, subtly mixed prints—stripes and florals—textile variety—rattan with cashmere—scallops, and the perfect coffee table book are my favorites."

Molly leaves us with first-hand (and basically insider) advice for couples also making their Over The Moon Registries: "My best advice is to ask for pieces that will last a lifetime. Quality is key. These pieces will come with you and your fiancé through the many phases, moves, and changes of life—and hopefully some of them will be passed down to the next generation!"
